What is a yeast infection and how do you get infected?

Almost eighty percent of women are likely to suffer from a yeast infection sometime during their life and about forty-five percent of those will have more than one infection.  While most yeast infections occur at the vaginal area, they can occur in other places too, such as under the arms.  The yeast bacteria that are in the human body will sometimes get out of control and will cause a yeast infection.  The yeast bacteria are present in everyone, but certain things can cause them to over grow causing the infections.

In some cases those who are taking antibiotics will get a yeast infection.  This is because antibiotics are your system to kill bacteria that are causing you to be sick in the first place.  The antibiotics will kill not only the bad bacteria making you sick, but also the good bacteria that help to keep you well.  Another reason that yeast infections can occur is if a woman is pregnant.  The imbalance of hormones during pregnancy will cause an overgrowth in the bacteria.  While most yeast infections occur in women, men can get them also. And it is the same concept for them minus the pregnancy.  Babies have been known to get yeast infections because of all of the moisture that is near their bodies; the bacteria breeds in moist areas.

There is a product on the market that can help with yeast infection outbreaks as well as keep new ones from occurring.  It’s called YeastClear. All of the ingredients are all natural and are the purest that can be found.  You can take YeastClear to get rid of the yeast infection you are suffering from and continue to take it to prevent future outbreaks of yeast infections.  You can only do this because the ingredients are 100% natural so there are never any negative side effects associated with it.

YeastClear is produced in the United States in an FDA registered laboratory that exceeds the industries standards. The manufacturing facility is GMP certified and abides by the highest Food and Drug Administration guidelines so you know that the product you are getting is not only effective, but it is safe for you to take.

What’s special about YeastClear?

You can take medications that are available over the counter, but they will only get rid of the symptoms that are occurring.  They will not work with your body’s natural healing process to help get your pH levels back into balance.  By using a product other than YeastClear, you would only be treating half of the problem and another yeast infection would more than likely be right around the corner for you.

YeastClear is made from all natural ingredients that were hand-picked based on clinical studies for their ability to clear up yeast infections and keep them from coming back.  And because it is all natural, you can take YeastClear for as long as you need to without worrying about any negative side effects.  YeastClear does not use any drugs or harsh chemicals when manufacturing its supplement, so what you are taking is an all natural product. The makers of YeastClear do not add any fillers or any other ingredients that you don’t need.  You are simply working toward getting rid of your yeast infections and making sure they don’t come back.  You can’t ask for more than that from any product. When you have a yeast infection the only thing you want to worry about is how to get rid of it.  Using YeastClear will take all of the worry away.  You know that your yeast infection will clear up and you know that you lessen your chances of getting them again in the future. YeastClear works with your body, rather than against it and the results of using it speak for itself.

YeastClear’s unique formula will help the body become more in balance with its alkaline and pH levels which will created a condition that candida yeast cannot thrive in because candida need an acidic environment in order to survive. Symptoms will begin to dissipate as the probiotic bacteria used in YeastClear stops the overgrowth of candida yeast and toxic bacteria in the intestines.

YeastClear has helped many people get over their yeast infections and it can help you too.  You can be one of the many who now know the secret to getting rid of yeast infections and preventing them from coming back.  That knowledge will keep you free and clear of yeast infections now and in the future.  Your outbreaks will be fewer, if you have any at all and if you do, you know exactly what measure to take to get rid of it.

Using YeastClear will be one of the best things you can do for your body.  Having a healthy balance in your pH levels will help you to feel better overall.

The post Which One is the Best Acne Scar Treatment? appeared first on Its A Sunny.

Scars are natural and at the same time a disgusting phenomenon. No matter how much we’d hate them their occurrence is simply beyond our control. And, once they do pop out we make sure that we clad ourselves from head to toe to avoid any embarrassment. Especially the scar that is a result of acne turns out to be the hideous of all and leaves you with no face! But, you no longer have to follow the uptight approach because here I will provide you with plenty of acne scar treatments that you can use to your benefit.

To understand the acne scar treatment that I must reveal, you need to understand the level of scars caused by acne. Not all acne is the same; in fact, they can be very well differentiated on size grounds. The big ones obviously make sure that you’re scarred while the small ones tend to go away often without scarring you at all. A few kinds of acne scars include the rolling scar, ice pick scar and box scar.

We all know of “the” acne scar treatment – the scar cream. However, the venture of finding the right one is what gets you upset. But, if you do get the right one, you can be sure to have flawless looking skin in no time. They, obviously, do not work overnight but they definitely work on all acne scars. Its application technique is important to remember; apply a thick layer and massage the affected zone thoroughly with your fingers so that the scar cream penetrates and starts to bring a fading effect to the scar. Do this three times a day on a regular basis to attain maximum results.

Acne scars can also be treated using laser technology. It’s by the far the most effective acne scar treatment. Laser can penetrate any kind of acne scar and vaporize it, leaving flawless fresh skin underneath. The effectiveness of laser is known to all yet people hesitate to opt for it due to its high cost.

Dermabrasion is another technique to help you get rid of scars. It’s mostly used as a cosmetic surgery for areas which seem to undergo some skin related problems. Often, pigmentation and scarred skin cases opt for this procedure. To conduct this process, you need experts; since, it requires an intensive slicing of your skin to get rid of the scars. Also, this is not just a onetime event; hence, you might be required to pay up often thereby increasing your cost to an amount as high as the laser treatment.

Whichever acne scar treatment you choose you just need to be consistent and believe in the results and then watch yourself glow with time.

Should you Choose Diet or Regular Soda? Thu, 05 Jul 2012 07:16:14 +0000 The question of whether to drink the diet version or th […]

The post Should you Choose Diet or Regular Soda? appeared first on Its A Sunny.

The question of whether to drink the diet version or the regular version of sodas such as Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola is not easy to answer in just a few words. If one had to give a short answer it would be that both are bad for you to a degree, but for different reasons, and you would be better off drinking water. The problem with water is, of course, that people find it boring. Most people like a bit of flavor in their drinks and there are now some flavored spring waters available, although they seem expensive for what they are, and even they may have some undesirable additives.

What’s in it?

The reason manufacturers turned to sugar-free versions of their popular soft drinks because they took notice of many people’s increasing concern about obesity and that much of our modern diet is high in sugars that are a major contributory factor. Being significantly overweight is a hazard to your health by encouraging the onset of diabetes and cardiovascular disease over time, and soft drinks containing sugar cause you to consume far more calories a day than you realise.

Regular Coke and Pepsi are similar and contain:

  • carbonated water
  • caramel color
  • phosphoric acid
  • fructose corn sugar
  • caffeine
  • citric acid
  • sugar
  • flavorings.

Thus a can of regular soda can contain as much as 40 grams of refined carbohydrates in the form of sugars, much of it fructose which has been shown to be easily converted in the liver to fat , and is therefore bad for you.

The caramel content has had to be changed in its amount and form over the last few years because of health concerns about some of the original chemicals involved such as 4-methylimidazole and ammonia-sulfite caramel coloring which may be carcinogenic.

In attempting to produce low-calorie versions of their sodas manufacturers have turned to artificial sweeteners such as Nutrasweet which is aspartame, and this was given a license to be used in 1983 for such purpose. Aspartame is apparently made up of aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol, all of which are potentially toxic. Evidence suggests that some chronic illnesses may be linked with aspartame, such as:

  • multiple sclerosis
  • Alzheimers disease
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • fibromyalgia
  • diabetes

Aspartame does seem to have neurological effects, and yet there doesn’t seem to be an established safe limit of consumption.

Both Coke and Pepsi, in both regular, and diet forms, as well as many “energy” drinks on the market, contain significant amounts of caffeine, which, although not recognised as harmful in itself, is thought to be addictive and also tends to cause dehydration. This is great for the drinks manufacturers since when you drink the stuff you subsequently want to drink more!

The phosphoric acid in these drinks may not be concentrated enough to be harmful once ingested, but it is certainly harmful to teeth because it tends to soften and dissolve tooth enamel. These types of drinks are extremely acidic and if drunk regularly in reasonable amounts, cause thinning of tooth enamel with consequent problems of teeth sensitivity.

It is better to find an alternative drink such as milk or water, to the sodas that are so heavily advertised because none are good for your health.

The post Healthy Eating on the Run appeared first on Its A Sunny.

Not everyone has the time these days to spend cooking each and every meal of the day, and often we have to eat on the run, grabbing a quick snack as and when we can. This doesn’t mean though, that we have to exist on cookies and pies for it is possible to still eat healthily. The secret is to do some planning rather than just grabbing for the first thing that comes to handat the gas station or corner shop since these will invariably be less than healthy, and more likely to be loaded with carbohydrates and fats.

Don’t skip meals

It can be quite healthy to have several small meals throughout the day rather than try and go without during the day but then go overboard and eat too much in one big meal of an evening, especially if it’s not a well thought out meal that is properly balanced. A similar problem with many people is that they skip breakfast, either because they don’t have time, or because they think it will help to cut down on calories, but, if they were to have a healthy breakfast with complex carbohydrates like porridge oats or protein like egg and bacon, they would not then be starving by mid-morning and then succumb to donuts or cookies with their coffee. If you know you won’t have time during the day to eat a proper, balanced meal then you may have to take with you some healthy snacks to consume.Protein shakes are excellent to have to fill you up without adding excess calories so you should take some into work, or with you if travelling. They can be pre-mixed or you can take dry protein powder, a shaker, and water. A good alternative is to carry with you some protein bars. These may have somewhat more carbohydrate than protein powder but they are still much healthier than anything you can get from a vending machine.

Easy healthy snacks

Hard boiled eggs are easy to transport and eat at any time and they really are a usefully nutritious food with protein, some fat, and vitamins. If you can partner these with some fruit or nuts then you are getting better nutrition than someone with a pie and chips.

A whole-wheat bread sandwich with lean meat like chicken or turkey is not a bad choice to take for lunch, and the chicken or turkey can be bought ready cooked, or better, lightly grilled at home and allowed to cool before using. A little black pepper, lettuce, and mayonnaise make it more attractive and tastier. You don’t have to do without any carbohydrate but you should aim for complex rather than simple carbs for a healthy diet, so whole-wheat pasta is OK, and is fine cooled and popped into a food container with some lean meat, diced red pepper, and cucumber, for example. Sweet potatoes are a good source of fiber and vitamin C. They can be baked in foil and then cut up and used with a salad as previously described. Another good complex carb is brown rice, and this can be obtained in handy pouches that you just need to heat through briefly in a microwave oven, so can be very useful. A little forethought and planning will allow you to eat healthily even if you are on the go all day without the time for a proper sit-down meal.

Detecting and Treating Prostate Cancer Thu, 08 Mar 2012 18:05:17 +0000 The word “cancer” strikes fear in many a heart, but man […]

The post Detecting and Treating Prostate Cancer appeared first on Its A Sunny.

The word “cancer” strikes fear in many a heart, but many cancers can now be cured by surgical treatment if detected early enough before they have spread too far. Along with skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common type of neoplasm or tumor occurring in men.

How to detect prostate cancer

The best way to detect prostate cancer early is by regular screening, and at present there is the widely available PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test, but hopefully there are other more accurate ways in the pipeline. The PSA test is not reliable on its own, sometimes giving misleading results. Where the reading is high it is usually necessary to follow up with a clinical rectal examination and maybe also a biopsy.

Men over 60 should have a regular PSA test, for a series of results can be more useful by showing a trend, which if upward might indicate the need for further investigation. The American Urologic Association (AUA), goes even further, suggesting that all men should be tested at age 40 to set a baseline, and the frequency of subsequent tests then tailored depending on results. A figure of 1.0 or less would suggest a retest only necessary in 5 years’ time, whilst a reading of 4.0 would need more frequent monitoring.

If disease is detected then treatment will depend on a number of factors, not least of which is the patient’s age. If detected in later life it suggests the tumour is slow growing and the need for treatment is debatable.

The treatments

In a younger man surveillance will be closer and more frequent testing done to see if the tumour is aggressive or not. If judged necessary then surgical removal of the whole prostate gland is usually the treatment of choice whilst leaving intact the surrounding nerves which are important for urination and erectile function.

Radiation therapy is commonly used to treat cancer if it has spread locally into the tissues, and this can now be done by inserting radioactive pellets into the prostate gland via catheters. This reduces radiation damage to surrounding tissues compared with traditional therapy with a beam. Some experts maintain that radiation only shrinks a tumor rather than destroying it, and also tethers it making it more difficult to subsequently remove surgically. Treatment options need to be carefully discussed with those providing them.

An alternative treatment for localized prostate cancer is cryotherapy, using fine needles inserted into the prostate which are then frozen. Cryosurgery is least invasive but may need to be repeated.

In the case of advanced cancers or those that have spread systemically it is necessary to use chemotherapy, and research goes on to find less toxic substances that will kill cancer tissues but not healthy tissues. As research and technology improve it is likely that there will be newer, better ways to treat prostate cancer in the not too distant future. Any man with symptoms of prostate trouble should not delay in seeking medical advice, for early treatment is the key to success.
