This page will tell you about the tools I use, basically hardware, to get my work done right. For now a brief glimpse of gadgetry and machinery to be added is : Hero Honda Karizma ( mobility ), Nokia 3660 ( connectivity ), Toshiba Satellite A60 Pentium 4 3.06Ghz, 768 MB RAM Laptop ( on the go computing power ). Further on I use a PSP ( Playstation portable ) as the gaming device and for other purposes like quick corporate video presentations and photographs.

Imaging : I have a point and shoot DSC-P30 1.3 MegaPixels Cam for basic purposes. Professionaly and for high end photography I use a Canon 300D 6.3MP EOS Digital Camera with a 18-55mm wide Canon lens and a 30-300mm Tamron telephoto lens. Two Li-Ion batteries accompany my arsenal to give a life of a 1000 photographs at once. 2 x 512 MB CF cards furnish the memory requirements with a standard 15 in 1 Card reader. Videography is done using a Sony MiniDV camcorder which gives decent results. The transfer is done to the PC over firewire.

Computing : I have two computers at my home from where I operate. One is a desktop assembled to my needs 2 years back : 2 x 19″ TFT Dell Monitors ( absolutely adore them ). P4 2.4 Ghz CPU, 1 GB DDR 333Mhz RAM, 4 Hard disks to complete 600 GB connected with an extra PCI card, a Snazzi TVtuner Recorder Card, Sony 8x DVD Writer. The other system in my Laptop. The systems are connected with a Linksys Wi-fi router. All these run on 3 UPSes. For sound I use a Sound Blaser LIVE 7.1 card connected to Creative 7.1 system which gives pretty good surround sound.

There are many other tools which will be documented here as reviews one by one.

Use 5 adjectives to describe yourself. Yes have faced that poky question many times while filling up forms for institutes. This time these are the adjectives which will describe me for you : Eccentric, ambitious, materialistic, philosophic, planned and i’ll add one more – unpunctual. 18 Till I die didnt apply to me, maybe Summer of 99 will someday. I wanted to be a scientist, but didnt have enough neurons to access all tha grey matter, so took to the arts in its most pristine modern form – digitally. Yes, I used to sketch doodles and small kiddy comics in he back seat of my class, but that to didnt make me a competion for R.K Laxman. I lost my insecurities and inferiority complexes in school and moved on to college which almos destroyed me. Dont ask me why, but I vehemently support the phrase “I was born intelligent, but education ruined me!”. But I rescued myself from he onslaught of a corrupt and hollow system. I was always in lookout for educational utensils which will shape the liquid me into what I want to become, a creative thinker giving something back to my motherland India. I found NID ( National Institute of Design ) a wee bit late but never mind. No, still havent managed to get through this dream institute which might groom me into one of the best assets this nation has. And yes I am proud of my India, I am fazed by the progress this nation has made in so little many decades since independence. A few things still are missing, like good road and yes the bike that will outdo a Pakistan missile in speed and potency. There are so many things that I would like to write about myself here. Some of my dreams include touring round the world on a bike, writing a book with my name on it and a page on which I can write the names of who all made me – my mother, my girlfriend and now my wife. And yes, did I mention that I live for bike and photography these days. I have much of my time spent developing www.xBhp.com

More about me later. Time for some facts, my resume.

Fotography was my third love, after computers and bikes. But it does’nt mean this one is neglected. In fact I am developing my skills as a photographer every day. I had a point-and-shoot digital camera ( Sony DSC-P30, 1.3 MP ), since 2003. Then I upgraded to a Canon 300D SLR 6.3 MP camera which opened a whole new world of possibilities for me. Suddenly I became a better photographer and the shutterbug didnt bite me, it swallowed me like a hungry lion. Not that I am complaining. This was June 2005. Since then I have shot more than 7000 images using this camera in a variety of situations.

Besides an excercise in hobby, I started working for BIKE India and CAR India as a photojournalist too. I also did a couple of shoots for Kinetic India for their website. So I cant really call myself a professional photographer. I still consider computer graphics as my profession, one which demands input from my other hobbies like photography.

To remind us that the woman we love is the woman that gave us birth.
See her photograph after you commit the sin and repent.

To remind us the very people we love are Adams’ sons and our brothers.
See photographs of the war and repent.

To remind us that the very word ‘country’ is an illusion.
See the photograph of the earth and repent.

To remind us that the earth there was once is no more.
To make our great grand children look at the photographs and curse us.

Because this picture perfect earth will not be there.
Capture it O human while it persists.

I give you the camera.
Repent.
